True to our mission to offer sustainable products and at the same time suggest flavorful, natural goods, no wonder why we had an instant crush with the cacao husks! After months long sampling and research, we began to collaborate with small scale organic chocolatiers who put quality first and treat the cacao husks with the same care and love as they do for the beans. In a more colorful mood, we developed a new range of tisanes which are still 100% pure and natural but take the concept of drinking a cup of tea to a whole new level!
What is it? It is a tisane that keeps all the chocolatey flavor and beneficial properties of beloved cacao while carries zero calories. Plus, it is packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, a natural mood enhancer and a mild pick-me-up meaning that you can skip coffee and indulge into a cup of cacao husk tea
Why is it sustainable? Chocolate industry uses only the core of the cacao beans. Ingredients: 100% organic cacao husks
Notes: Chocolatey, smooth, cocooning
The ideal way to prepare your tisane is the infusion.
For 1 cup [170ml], put 2.5g [approx. 1 tsp] of the cacao husks into a utensil.
Add hot water [95ºC], cover it with a lid and let it rest for 8-10'. Strain and serve.
- If you prefer your beverages sweet, you can add a teaspoon of coconut sugar.
- Prepare it cold and enjoy a surprisingly refreshing tisane for the warm months of the year.
- Pairs perfectly with milk — try adding a splash of your preferred plant-based milk or prepare it as a latte [see recipe below].
Cacao husk tea latte
In low heat, simmer in a saucepan a cup of your preferred milk type [works equally well with plant-based and dairy milk] and a tablespoon of cacao husk tea. If you are into more sweet tastes, you can add a teaspoon of coconut sugar or honey. After 10 minutes, strain the cacao husk tea latte into a tea press. Close tea press lid and pump the plunger until it doubles on volume. Pour cacao husk tea latte into a mug and enjoy a cocooning and delicious treat!

About Our Designer
Founder and Creative Director Kristin Coia, is the visionary businesswoman behind the famed lifestyle brand. While pregnant with her eldest child Henry, Kristin quickly discovered there was a great need in the marketplace for simple, classic baby apparel that was stylish, high quality and both organic and sustainable. Though spending years in event planning & hospitality, she was ever-desirous of owning her own business. Therefore in 2007, the idea for her own line and the niche she had found in the market culminated in the creation of Go Gently Baby.
To date, the company has evolved into the lifestyle brand, renamed, Go Gently Nation. The brand focuses on baby, kid’s and women’s apparel and accessories, however, a menswear collection is on the horizon.
Now, a mom of two and vegan for nearly two decades, Kristin, and her family live out their organic and sustainable lifestyle authentically at home and in the workplace.
