“Santa Luciiiia... Santaaa Luciiiaaaa”

A Danish (originally Swedish) tradition of a parade of young girls singing with candles in their hands? We love this tradition, which is why we've made this pretty paper cut out to decorate your Christmas table or windowsill.

St. Lucia is named after a young girl who lived around 283-304 and was a Christian virgin who died as a martyr during the Roman Emperor's persecution of Christians. She is the guardian angel of the blind and is celebrated every year on her saint's day - December 13th.

Please note - when cutting - that the print is not 100% identical on both sides as they are hand-painted. “
